NSI NACOSS GOLD ACCREDITATION

June 10th, 2010

Back in February, Third Eye Installation Systems were thoroughly inspected by NSI Auditors with a view to upgrading their Silver accreditation.  At the end of their visit the NSI Auditor said he would be highly recommending Third Eye Installation Systems to be upgraded to Gold – immediately!  That’s less than a year after the initial accreditation was awarded!

All systems, paperwork and procedures used by Third Eye Installation Systems were thoroughly checked and the Auditor even visited several customers’ installations to confirm the Gold Standard quality of work and inspect all relevant certificates.

After just a few weeks Third Eye Installation Systems were most proud to receive a GOLD Award for all security systems for home security and commercial security installations, including intruder/burglar alarms, CCTV security cameras, door intercom and door access control systems.

“Everyone in the office has worked really hard to achieve this goal” said Mark Formby, Managing Director “We can now confidently offer our customers the more superior NSI Gold service which will hopefully save them money!”

Many insurance companies recognize the NSI NACOSS Gold accreditation as a sign of the highest quality installation by a high quality company and will give a discount on home insurance premiums.  So, don’t forget to mention us to your home insurers!

SECURITY SOLUTIONS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN BARNET

June 10th, 2010

 PC1PC3PC2

Following a spate of burglaries at a small primary school in Barnet, Third Eye Installation Systems Limited were asked to provide possible solutions to deter intruders breaking into the school building.  Over the past few years the school has experienced several break-ins, as well as a few attempted break-ins.  Unfortunately by the time the alarm was activated and the relevant key holders and Police responded the crime had already taken place resulting in IT equipment being stolen.

After assessing the perimeter layout and any possible access points, Third Eye Installation Systems proposed to enhance the school’s existing security system by installing CCTV cameras and an external perimeter detection system around the school.

Therefore, in the event that someone climbs over a fence, outside of school hours, and is thereby trespassing on school property, then the external alarm will immediately sound and the Police and nearby key holders will be alerted to attend site – before any attempt at accessing the building is carried out.  This alarm is also supported by the Remote Monitoring Station which can view suspected trespassers in and around the school perimeter, thus ensuring any intruders are deterred from actually committing any crime.

Mark Formby, Managing Director, Third Eye Installation Systems Limited, says “The current system now acts as a first line of defense and informs the Monitoring Station and local key holders of any activations within the school property”.

External detection is now becoming a more common request as a preventative strategy, by using specially designed external detection systems complete with discreet CCTV cameras.  Once activated, the images created by these alarms can be seen by our Monitoring Station and/or the home owner via their personal PC.  In the case of a confirmed intruder then the Monitoring Station can request Police presence.

Mark Formby said that he was more than happy to help out his local school and hoped that these new measures would not only deter any would-be intruders, but hopefully enable the Police to identify the perpetrators more efficiently in the future.

November 30th, 2009

Third Eye Installation Systems Limited has been awarded the contract for the renewal of the CCTV and PAVA within the SPAN4 train shed at Paddington station. This follows on the back of the upgrade to the Span’s glazed roof which has previously been allowed to fall into disrepair over an extended period.

As part of the upgrade much of the existing supporting steelwork will be deep cleaned and where necessary repaired and repainted to bring the Span back to a pristine condition. During this time the CCTV and PA/VA has to remain operational as part of the safety critical services needed to keep the station open.

Latest figures from the Metropolitan Police have suggested that residential burglaries in the London area have increased in the 12 months leading up to September 2009, compared to the previous year.

SHEPHERDS BUSH STATION CENTRAL LINE

August 25th, 2009

Third Eye Installation Systems has an impressive skill base in Rail projects. Its strong presence in the Rail environment is a reflection of its strategy to concentrate on building relationships with customers and focusing on projects where Third Eye can add value and, very importantly, deliver projects on time and within budget.

October 5th 2008 was the date when Shepherds Bush station reopened after being closed for some ten months. Third Eye had responsibility to install and commission the station’s security and communications systems, along with additional design works. Like most station refurbishments the Comms element is generally behind all other trades and this is where Third Eye, with daily site meetings with all trades, managed to be in front, and in turn completed the project working to a very tight program.  Third Eye started work on site in the middle of June 2008, carrying out the first cable pulls when areas became available; they also carried out CMS installation to allow new areas of work to be opened up.

The complete ticket hall was demolished and rebuilt by Capital Projects-Morgan Est. to allow the new ticket hall and station offices to be built.  The station was first opened in the 1900, some 109 years ago, and many areas of the basement needed rebuilding, which again added delays to the final works. Third Eye was based on-site, day and night, seven days a week, holding co- ordination meetings with the required contractors to ensure that any areas of lost production was quickly brought back in-line with the over program.

Third Eye installed over 80,000 metres of cable, 83 cameras, complete with DVR recorders and event alarm recording, Passenger awareness monitors, 9 Zone Public Address PA/VA along with some 450 speakers, Customer Information Systems, Help Points, and local synchronised station clocks.  The systems were then integrated into a Station Management System (SMS) by Third Eye Installation Systems, and operated by the station staff within the station operation room.

Third Eye also installed the station door entry access control system, along with door monitoring, which is monitored and controlled by the SMS PC. Third Eye also provided the As-built drawings, equipment schedules and finally the Operator and Maintenance manuals.

The station was opened on October 5th 2008 and Third Eye successfully installed the Comms/Security systems within a tight timeframe of just twelve weeks. Working as a team with other contractors, whereby Third Eye was available 24/7, we managed to complete

The success of this project was down to pro-active and dedicated companies all working as one to ensure a successful conclusion to this project.

Steve Holmes Project Director of Capital Projects-Morgan Est says:  “Third Eye Installation Systems supported the Project in every respect and worked closely with Morgan Est and our other suppliers in a collaborative way to find workable solutions on a project that was both time and space constrained. Third Eye works were completed on time and are an excellent supplier that we would certainly recommend.”
